Vegetable Macaroni Samosa Squares

Samosa is a favorite evening snack with a variety of filling options, making it the best snack. But when it comes to recipes for kids, it’s always a challenge to come up with something exciting for them. Two favorite kids recipes, Vegetable Macaroni and Samosas (a safe option) are combined to make Vegetable Macaroni Samosa Squares.

Kids just love macaroni even with vegetables in it, they hardly notice the vegetables. The square shape of the samosas makes it an exciting snack. Even the pickiest eater won’t be able to resist these delicious vegetable and macaroni filled samosa squares. The coating on the samosa squares turns real crispy fried in Kisan Cooking Oilgiving them a nice golden color and the needed crunch.

Mommy’s give this delicious snack a try for your kids, a snack with evening chai, or friends get together. This will surely be a hit!

Ingredients

For the Vegetable Macaroni

  • 1 Cup Macaroni (cooked according to package instructions)
  • 1 Carrot, julienne
  • ¼ cup Cabbage, shredded
  • 1 Capsicum, julienne
  • 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Chili Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper (or according to taste)
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • ½ tsp Ginger,freshly grated
  • 2 Green Chilies, finely chopped
  • 2-3 Tbsp Kisan Cooking Oil

For Samosa Squares

  • 10 – 12 Samosa Sheets
  • Cornflour and water slurry
  • 2 Eggs, beaten
  • Breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup flour, or as required
  • Kisan Cooking Oil for frying

Method:

Vegetable Macaroni: In a medium pan, heat oil. Add to it garlic and stir fry when it starts to change color add green chilies and ginger saute' for about 30 seconds. Add soy sauce and mix. Now add to it vegetables and turn the heat to high. Stir fry vegetables. Add seasoning salt, pepper, and oyster sauce toss well. Take the mixture out in a bowl and allow it to cool. (Make sure the mixture is cool when you start wrapping)

Samosa Square: Take two samosa sheets and place one sheet over the other securing it with the cornflour slurry making a plus (+) sign with the sheets. Place the mixture in the center and start folding the sheets making a square, sealing all the sides with the cornflour slurry.

Prepare all samosa square similarly with the vegetable macaroni stuffing.

For Frying: Coat each samosa box in flour, then with egg and bread crumbs. Then again coat in egg and a final coat of bread crumbs.

In a pan, heatKisan Cooking Oil and fry the samosa squares until crisp and golden. Serve with tomato sauce and enjoy it.
